Monument Hill Scared Me to Death Last Night
My nephew is in Colorado Springs for a Lacrosse game this weekend. He attends a private college in St. Louis and in the summer lives with his mother in Houston Texas. I don't get to see him as often as I would like, so when I learned that he was coming to Colorado for a game I had to make it a point to see him. They got into town yesterday afternoon, and I had already made plans with him to go to dinner, so when the weather rolled in and it started raining here I didn't think anything of it. I jumped in my Explorer around 4:30 yesterday afternoon and took off to the Springs. Had a great time with my uncle, and a great dinner, then dropped him back off at his hotel. As soon as I got outside of the Springs headed north on 25 the traffic came to a stop. An hour later I finally made it over Monument Hill. There were trucks sliding backwards down the hill, cars over turned, cars and trucks stuck in the middle of the road that couldn't go up the hill. It was terrible. Especially since I have a two wheel drive Explorer with a V8. There were times that I thought I wasn't going to get up the hill, and then times when I wondered if I was just going to slide down the other side. My wife being from Colorado warned me not to go, but no I just couldn't listen. Bet I will next time!

Spring Is Just Around the Corner - Blogs - Real Estate Forums
You could feel it in the air today. My wife, and I, took our first big ride of the year this morning. We loaded up the bikes, drove down to the Platt River Bike path near 470 and headed for downtown Denver. The weather was perfect with just a slight chill in the air. It took a little while, as I said before this was our first ride of the season, but we made it all the way into downtown. Just in time to catch part of the St. Patricks Day parade. We then had a great lunch at Ling & Louie's, there Ahi lettuce wraps are to die for, before heading over to Stout street to catch the light rail back down to Littleton. We normally would have ridden back on the bikes, but I didn't want to push it to hard and not be able to ride again for a while. Tomorrow, another day of meeting realtors/brokers at open houses. We hope everyone else had a great day as well, and bring on the Spring time.

Home Inspection Warranties
Does your home inspector offer a warranty? How confident in their abilities are the home inspectors that you either use yourselves, or refer to your clients? Are they confident enough to offer a warranty of their inspections. Now, I understand that this cannot be done with every home, especially bank owned properties or homes older than 30 years, but it can be offered for most. With each of my inspections, within exception, I offer a 100 day warranty of my inspection. This warranty is offered through the Mountain Warranty Corporation. This lets you, and the client, know that I am that confident in the inspection I provide. This also means that my client, and the home they are purchasing, will receive the utmost attention from me as the inspector. If you would like to know more about this warranty you can go to their link provided on my home page at http://www.formaninspectionservices.com
